- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the mini bagel halves cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Lightly brush each bagel half with a little olive oil to prevent sogginess.
- Spread about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce onto each oiled bagel half.
- Sprinkle a generous pinch of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce on each bagel.
- Let kids (or you) add their chosen optional toppings from the selection.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and just starting to turn golden at the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 3-5 minutes (the cheese will be very hot).
- Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with a little dried oregano before serving.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, prepare the bagels with sauce, cheese, and toppings up to 2 hours before baking and refrigerate. To accommodate allergies, offer dairy-free cheese and gluten-free bagel alternatives. Label toppings clearly. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat in a toaster oven.
