  • 1/2 cup Frank's RedHot Sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheese such as a mix of sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles optional
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Celery sticks, for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken, hot sauce, melted butter, and garlic powder until fully combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a shallow baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (and blue cheese crumbles, if using) over the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and the cheese is melted with golden spots.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with extra hot sauce or chopped green onions if desired.
  9. Serve warm with celery, carrots, chips, pretzels, or bread.

Notes

For a slow cooker version, combine all ingredients except the final cheese topping in the cooker. Cook on LOW for 2 hours, stir, top with cheese, and let melt. Use rotisserie chicken for a quick, flavorful shortcut. Adjust heat by increasing hot sauce to 3/4 cup for more spice or starting with 1/3 cup for milder flavor. The dip can be assembled a day ahead, covered, and refrigerated; add 5-10 minutes to baking time.
